The Wives. The title and so much more in comparison after finishing this book. Fisher takes you on a wild ride of emotional baggage, romantic entanglements, and an odd relationship between a husband and his wives. There is a lot to unpack about this story that worked and then in some cases, didn't work. However, revealing even a little bit of those plot points would spoil the story, which leaves this blogger in a place of stupor on what to say about this book.
Was it a thrilling, mind f*ck? It was.
Was it a romance? Not really. Maybe? Hell, I don't know.
It's hard to sum up this story and the feelings I had about it. The ups, the downs, and the in-betweens with confusion clear as day on my face that even my partner noticed. For fans of emotional thrillers, this is probably your kind of read, but for me, I was left a little disappointed. As the story unraveled, I figured out pretty quickly the plot shift towards the end of the book. All in all, an okay read for me.
