TBR Pile Review: Four Letter Word by J. Daniels
Fate. Hate. Love. Lies.
Which four letter word will change their lives forever?
Sydney Paige was never so mortified to hear the words "wrong number" in her life. She meant to tell off the guy who broke her best friend's heart but unleashed her anger on a perfect stranger instead. And now her world is turned upside down by the captivating man who wants to keep her on the line.
Brian Savage is living a life he's quickly come to hate-until Sydney's wild rant has him hooked and hungry for more. Soon the sexy woman on the phone becomes the lover in his bed. But Brian has secrets, and the closer he lets Syd get, the harder it is to shield her from the devastating mistakes of his past . . .

Four Letter Word is a mix between sultry romance, an ugly cry, and romantic comedy all wrapped into one book. I’ll admit that I tried to be clever about this review and tie it into the plot line of the story, but there was honestly not a four letter word that I could use that would explain how much I loved this story. J. Daniels is known for her whirlwind romance novels. She has this ability to twist and turn a simple romance story into a multi-faceted and complex world of characters that you cannot help, but fall in love with.
Four Letter Word starts out with a devastating, but beautifully written heartbreak for our lead character, Sydney. The description of this life changing event left me stunned. It was as if I was in the room with Sydney as her life crumpled around her. Fast forward a few chapters later and Sydney is throwing some serious shade on a man who wronged her best friend, Tori. But, that’s where the book takes an interesting turn. The man who she just gave a piece of her mind with wittingly dirty words is a wrong number. That one angry triad leads to a seductive and almost forbidden dance between Sydney and her newly found phone pal. The sparks fly and the tensions rise as this marvelous book continues. I’d be lying if I said this is an easy new world for Sydney, but I’ll leave that up to you to read for yourself.
Sometimes mistakes can lead to happy endings and reading Four Letter Word is the best decision of your life.
