Re-Read: El Diablo by M. Robinson

The book slump continues. Going back into the favorites TBR archive, I decided to re-read something a bit less conventional. Bikers have been my go-to for a while now, but I needed something different. This time, I traded in Harleys and leather for a dark mobster. El Diablo by M. Robinson.
Just like with Affliction, this story sucked me back like it was a first read. The emotional journey, confusion on how I
feel about such an evil man, and even hitting fictional rock bottom as I finished
it for a second time. This book, unlike
so many others, still leaves me speechless. It’s the kind of book that you
think about days later, trying to come to terms with its emotional experience. As
twisted and dark as this book is still great. Forget heart sand flowers. Forget
mushy. Forget everything you know about
traditional romance and dive into this amazing story. El Diablo will rock you to your core and
leave you an emotional hot mess with an excessive need for wine. Note to
self: Buy wine before reading.
